Awarded Gay Journalist Moved To Tears Over Trump Presidency

Jon Snow speaks with Co-chair of the Trump campaign for the state of Michigan and also to Washington Post journalist, Jonathan Capehart. When asked what a Trump presidency may mean for him, an African-American gay man, Capehart became choked up and was moved to tears. Yet, he still managed to verbalise how many of us feel.

The Donald Trump who ran for President seems to contrast with the man who existed before that. Years ago, Trump supported universal healthcare, gay rights, and a woman’s right to choose.  But based on the offensive things he’s said about many (during the campaign), we may have a problem. Saying and doing are two different things, but a lot of us don’t know what to expect. Will he stick up for any minority group? Or will he turn a blind eye?

Below: Capehart shares news of his engagement with collegues on MSNBC.
