Idol Alum Rayvon Owen Kisses Man In New Video

I haven’t watched singing competitions in quite a few years, but I still like to pay attention to new talent that comes along through Youtube and social media.  Rayvon Owen, a contestant on season 14 of American Idol finished in fourth place.  His voice is beautiful.  It damn near makes love to you while you listen.  He’s kept his sexuality out of the public’s eye until just recently when he came out in a big way.  With his official debut, Idol alum Rayvon Owen kisses a man in his new video.

The video is for his song, Can’t Fight It.  A song about giving in to those butterflies we’ve all felt before…

Falling in love, giving in, and losing control.  Most of us can relate those feelings.  And it’s usually the recipe for good love songs.

The singer, songwriter released the video this month and also chatted with Billboard.

You’d be surprised at the amount of times I tried to pray the gay away from me or tried to tell God to take this away from me. No kid should have to do what I did and pray to not be who they are.

Rayvon’s voice has such a clear quality to it.  And to know that he’s a songwriter as well makes me smile.  From what I’ve heard so far, the songs are just as good as his voice.
