Openly Gay MMA Fighter Jordan Faulkner

Jordan “Dream Chaser” Faulkner is an amateur MMA fighter that you may have not heard of.  According to Tapology.com, Faulkner is 19 years old, 6’0″ tall, and 185 lbs.   Rising in the ranks of the MMA, Faulkner discussed his sexuality with the Eagle Tribune.

“I have been open about it since I was 16 years old,” he told the Eagle. “It’s horrible to be closeted and have to live a lie to keep up with an image.

He also added:

“I’ve never been one to fake it. I don’t want to lie to anyone,” said Faulkner. “All of my teammates know and my coaches know. I’ve never been one to keep it a secret. It would be disrespectful to my boyfriend, and it would be disrespectful to my all of teammates and my coaches not to know the true me and who I am.”

Shout out to Jordan Faulkner and everyone else who’s out there defying stereotypes.

Jordan Faulkner fought at Combat Zone 58 last night (May 13) in Rockingham Park, Salem, New Hampshire.  It seems he was defeated by John McAndrews via unanimous decision.  Even so, he’s a winner in our eyes.
